Leaks found on handover day in Beveridge
Basin wastes and mixers that drip only when somebody runs them.
In short: A slow leak under a vanity is invisible until someone runs the tap and looks. We do both at every Beveridge handover.
Why leaks hide
At handover the cabinets are new and dry. A drip from a waste joint takes weeks to swell a vanity base, by which time you own it.
What we found
Basin wastes leaking at practical completion, a leaking mixer, a waste partly blocked and holding water, and a basin draining slowly.
How we check
Every tap we can reach is run, every waste watched, and the cabinet base checked with a hand and a torch.
Why it matters
Water in cabinetry leads to swelling, mould and, in time, damage to the floor below.
Before you sign
Ask the builder to fix and show you each leak running dry before the final payment step in your contract.
